We are one of the few photography teams in the New York Area with a full time professional editor on staff who is an expert in the field. Each image we edit is professionally reviewed before it gets released to our clients to ensure it fits with our brand and quality standards. The answers to your questions
What types of photography do you offer?
We specialize in weddings, portraits, family sessions, events, corporate headshots, product photography, real estate and much more.
How do I book a session with you?
You can book a session by filling out the contact form on my website or emailing me directly at [email protected]. A signed contract and deposit are required to secure your date.
What’s your pricing?
Wedding packages are custom tailored to the client. Other photography services (portrait sessions, parties) are usually billed in 4-hour blocks starting at $350.00. I pride myself on offering the highest quality at very affordable rates.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit of usually 30% for weddings is required to secure your session date. The balance is due before the day of the photo shoot. I offer a discount for clients who pay in full.
How long will the session take?
This can vary depending on the package and type of shoot. Portrait sessions can last anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours.
When will I receive my photos?
Turn around time depending on the amount of photos taken can be anywhere from 48 hours to 5 days.
How will I receive my photos?
Photos will be available by a secure link that will be made available to you after the photos are ready.
Do you provide unedited (RAW) images?
Absolutely. I shoot primarily in the RAW format and always make this file type available to my clients.
Can I request specific shots or poses?
Absolutely! I encourage clients to share inspiration or a shot list in advance to help me tailor the session to your vision.
What happens if it rains or I need to reschedule?
Rescheduling is allowed with 48 hours notice. In case of bad weather for outdoor shoots, we’ll find a new date that works for both of us.
Do you travel for shoots?
Yes! We are available for travel. Additional travel fees may apply depending on the location.
Are you insured?
Yes. We can provide my COI (Certificate of Insurance) on request.
Do you offer prints or albums?
Of course. We offer a wide variety of print and album choices. I custom tailor packages according to my client's needs and wishes.
What should I wear to the session?
We will send you a style guide upon booking with tips on what photographs best for your session type. Ultimately, what you wear is completely up to you!
What are your credentials?
Our owner holds a BA from Texas A&M University in Media Arts and our photographers have a photography certification from the Professional Photographers of America. We hold numerous press credentials including from the National Press Photographers Association and the New York Press Association.
What is your experience?
We have been a professional photographers for over 20 years. Our founder started as an underwater photographer for the US Navy and has been employed as a photojournalist for such news outlets such as AP News and the BBC.
What are your methods of payment?
We accept all major credit cards as well as cash. No checks or payment apps such as Venmo or Cashapp.
Do you have a physical location?
Not at the moment but it's coming soon!!! We are a mobile studio with all portable equipment such as professional lighting, backdrops etc.
What type of camera do you use?
Color Lab is sponsored by Nikon and uses all professional grade cameras and equipment.
What vehicle should I expect?
Color Lab uses 2025 Subaru Crosstrek's in Alpine Green. This is our studio vehicle.
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of New York State including the entirety of Nassau and Suffolk County, New York City, and the Hamptons. We also serve all of Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Jersey.
